Local Interest Visits

Local Interest Visits operate on the basis that any Frome Third Age member who would like to visit anywhere of interest can propose a visit, checking that it is open on the Friday in question (the first Friday of the month) and confirming costs. Details of the next month's visit will be announced at the main monthly meeting at the Assembly Rooms, including a proposed meeting time for the visit.  Any Frome Third Age members can go.  We will also always put the details of the next visit on the website here so please keep your first Friday of the month free and check back here regularly.

FUTURE VISITS

Our next visit will be on Friday 4th September when we will be going to Mompesson House in Salisbury.  We will meet in the tea shop at 11am when it opens.  It is a National Trust property so entry is free if you are a member (remember to bring your membership cards), otherwise entry charges apply.  Further details can be found on their website HERE.  The house is very near to the Cathedral in the city and so there is no parking at the property.  There are pay car parks in the city (follow this link HERE) and a park and ride services from the outer area of the city (click HERE for details).

There are many other places worth visiting whilst in Salisbury - the museum is nearby (click HERE) as well as the magnificent Cathedral (click HERE).
